IT'S TUESDAY
Hello everybody,
It's a beautiful day here in East Texas today. I was thinking about some of the punishment's I got from my Mother (God Rest Her Sole) when I was growing up the other day. It occured to me that the punishment fit the Crime when you think about it. I got a e-mail from my Cuzin the other day about a Mother who punished her 13 year old Son for stealing. Then someone come's along and call's it Child Abuse. If I had done something like that when I was growing up, I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a month, of course I grew up in the 50's and early 60's and times do change, but I don't think this could be called Child Abuse. I say let the Punishment fit the Crime. Here are the pictures.
Nuff Said!Mike

I agree with you inthat, I think that we need to teach our children to be responsible people who feel accountable for their actions toward others. I love what this mom is doing FOR her child, because as embarassing as it seems, I doubt that kid will ever steal again!
On the other hand, I think one can go too far with the hitting and punishment. For example, my husband's father used to handcuff him to the radiator for not drinking all of his milk. He would tell him, "That's God's punishment for bad boys." No, that's actually NOT God's punishment, that's YOUR punishment, and it most certainly does NOT fit the crime. I'm just afraid that parents who mean well to dicipline their kids get carried away and soon enough they're beating them for no reason whatsoever.
